Overview:
Xport Wizard requires a defined XML structure, which serves as a bridge between Xcelsius and Xport Wizard only during the dashboard and web service design time. This step ensures that the Xport Wizard generated service can interpret data received from the dashboard application.
Directions
- Navigate to the Data Manager by click on Data>Connections
- Select "Add" and then "XML Data"

- Check Enable Send
- Add a Range(s) and name them.
* Though it is not a requirement, it is a best practice to avoid using spaces or special characters within your range names.
- Bind individual cells or ranges to define the datat that you will send to Xport Wizard.
- Click the Preview XML button. Xcelsius will generate a XML file and open in your browser or notepad (depending on system preferences).

- In your browser, click select File>Save As
- Save the XML on your local PC.
Your XML file is now ready to be imported into Xport Wizard to define parameters for your service.
